Society + Co.
Society + Co. was a branding/concept created as a pet project for a French Polynesian Styled Distillery that would ideally be located in the heart of South Seattle, complete with bottles and labels, logos, menu, business cards, and signage. The spirits industry is something I'm well acquainted with.
Personas of potential buyers
To better understand the market I made several personas that I could look to to understand who I'm marketing to. Since the idea of the distillery is of the local Seattle variety, that's where I started. Of urban young Seattilites, who are the drinkers? Who goes out? What are their tastes now?
Style & Mood boards
For the mood board I simply took a look at what is trending amongst my demo, what they want and started gathering images of rum bottles and imagery that encapsulate the brand, that being a fine local rum inspired by the flavors and styles of the French Polynesia.
Packaging and Touch points
With personas created, a mood and style board finished; I set out on making labels for the bottled product as well as a bottle that fit the vibe and style. The label style was imagined as a cross between Art Deco/French Polynesian Oceana/Crowley. The bottle was picked out from the Cary Company, and they graciously donated some for this project. Using the label as the focal point of the "company's" style, I made business cards and a store front sign.

“The goal was to create a distillery concept that felt out of time. New and old blended together making something familiar but unknown”
“One of the focuses of project was creating a cohesive concept that worked with different products, such as different spirits”
